Cette peinture fait partie dโ€™une sรฉrie de deux ล“uvres rรฉalisรฉes dans une halle industrielle. Elles suivent le mรชme processus : les matรฉriaux constituant les supports ont รฉtรฉ prรฉlevรฉs sur place, et le cadrage met en scรจne une composition qui dialogue avec lโ€™espace sรฉlectionnรฉ. La photographie finale accompagne lโ€™artefact et documente le protocole de crรฉation.

This painting is part of a series of two works created in an industrial hall. Both follow the same process: the materials used for the supports were salvaged on-site, and the framing highlights a composition that engages in dialogue with the selected space. The final photograph accompanies the artifact and documents the creation process.

Impregnated by the practice of graffiti, which he began in 1990 in Rennes, Brez develops a painting that seems to use codes from cubism, constructivism or futurism. However, his graphic language is more certainly the heritage of the research of a letter style, a quest intimately related to the world of graffiti writing. Between abstraction and figuration, his In Situ paintings are inspired by the panorama while playing with the surface of the chosen places. The workshop work feeds on the forms inherited from graffiti and adapts to the limited frame of the canvas. He feeds again the painting in the public space in a permanent coming and going.
