This painting was created at the invitation of the municipality of Pleurtuit in 2024 on the walls of a music school. I usually take my inspiration from the environment of the wall, but here I had few remarkable elements in the panorama. I was constrained by the very long format of the wall, so I decided to imagine this cellist embracing her instrument. This image came naturally under the lead of my criterium. I remember trying out this instrument a long time ago. When you play it, the vibration it transmits to your body is profound and unique, and I think it’s a beautiful allegory of music. I wanted to refer to this sensual relationship with the instrument, this vibrato that resonates in the deepest inside your bodies. And then there’s the resonance of the melody, that indescribable thread that connects us to our most intimate memories.

On the occasion of the 400th birthday of the famous Lices market in Rennes, and at the invitation of Destination Rennes, we have been invited with BIMS to perform a painting on a building site palisade. For the composition, I wished to be influenced by the furniture and the architecture that makes the singularity of this high place of the local gastronomy. A semiabstract painting that also suggests specific products of the market.

At Home

N’oubliez jamais votre adolescence !

I lived in this building in 1983 with my family. I discovered punk rock, hip hop, graffiti and a lot of friends and stories !
Good times and bad times! But lot of memories here for me. I was writing Atome when I started, that’s why I painting this name here, only a few friends will really understand this post, but it can resonate for everyone!

Now I’m 48 years old, and these moments have made what I am now ! Never forget!
